Thanks to a donation from the White Bear Yacht Club and its members, the Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation will have an additional $11,500 to grant to local groups this fall.

“We are pleased to be able to support the Community Partners Fund, knowing that it will distribute grants to a diverse group of programs and projects that serve people who live in our area,” said Yacht Club Commodore Kenny Larson. “We believe it is important to join with other donors to increase the funds available to meet the growing needs in our community.” With the Yacht Club’s donation, the foundation will have at least $45,000 to distribute in the 2018 round of grant-making.

Information on the Community Partners Fund and the online grant application process are available on the foundation’s website, greaterwblfoundation.org/whatwedo/our-grants/. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 5.

Community members and businesses wishing to add to the Community Partners Fund to enable the funding of more grants can make a donation on the foundation’s website, greaterwblfoundation.org.
